Making music education welcoming, fun, and accessible for all
I’m Lisa Ziemelis, a music instructor and therapist who helps students of all ages and abilities find their rhythm—whether through private lessons, Music Together classes, music therapy sessions, or adaptive music experiences. My goal? To make every individual feel empowered through music.
Where it started
Music Has Always Been Part of My Life
I was lucky to grow up in a very musical family in Muskegon, MI. My parents deeply valued music instruction and encouraged me to immerse myself in music from a young age. Whether it was piano and clarinet lessons, playing in the church orchestra, or playing in various ensembles at school, music became a core part of who I was.
The Turning Point
Discovering the Power of Music for Everyone
As I pursued my music degree at Western Michigan University, I realized that music wasn’t just something to be studied—it was something that could change lives. I saw firsthand how it could foster confidence, connection, and personal growth. That realization led me to expand my focus beyond performance, blending education and therapy to make music accessible to all.
Where I Am Now
Making Music Accessible to All
Today, as a music educator and therapist, I help students of all ages discover their own love for music. Whether through private piano and clarinet lessons, Music Together classes, or music therapy, I’m committed to creating a space where everyone—regardless of ability or background—can experience the joy of making music.
